NOT The End.

When you talk about mental health, or you tell someone that you are going to see a therapist, what do you think they will say? Arey!, but you are not crazy…?

The world right now is in between a mental health crisis. Almost half the population suffers from depression at some point or the other in their lives. Do you know which age group has the most number of depressed people? It’s the teens. Since the childhood, the kids are expected to reach the epitome of success in their lives. They have to face so much pressure, that they eventually succumb to this pressure. This leads to various mental illnesses like depression, inferiority complex and so on. And what happens when you talk to your parents or anyone else the about it? They say ‘I’ve also been through this stage. It is nothing.’. The truth is that they have not been through this stage and it is not nothing. Today we have so much competition and additional pressure to succeed. It is bound to drive people crazy.

In school we are taught how to get a job. But no one teaches us how to live in state of happiness. Is our happiness not worth more than a job? Yes, it is. And before you say happiness won’t pay my bill, It will. Because when you are happy, you will work 10 times as hard, ten times as focused, that success would be just around the corner.

I want you to know that, no matter where you are in life… No matter how low you have sunk… No matter how bleak your situation… This is NOT THE END.
This is not the end of your story
This is not the final chapter of your life.
I know it may be hard right now
But if you just hang in there
Stick it out
Stay with me for a little while…
You will find, that this tough moment will pass, and, use this pain, use it to build your character, and you will find a greater meaning in life, you will find that, in time, you can turn your life around, and help others going through the same struggles.

Depression is not a phase. Mental health is not a joke. And this... this is not the end.
