Is This Love?

When i'm sad. Why does your thought bring a smile on my face?

There are so many catchy tunes in the world. Then why is your voice stuck like a melody in my mind?

There are so many people around me. Then why is it that i always look forward for your approval?

In this depressing world? Why is it that only your face cheers me up?

Why is it that you are the reason that i wake up each day and you are the reason why i sleep peacefully at night?

I have been looking for the answers for quite some time. Is this love?

When i see you, my heart beats ten times as fast and probably skips a beat or two. Is this love?

When i see you with someone else, i feel crushed. Is this love?

I try so hard just to make you smile. When that moment does finally arrive, i forget everything and smile with you. Is this love?

I just wished you knew how i felt. I want to tell you every time i see you. But i fear i will lose you forever. Is this love?

Her

It's been four years... Four years of sadness and unhappiness. F our years.. since the ray of happiness in my life has vanished . Four years since i lost myself forever. But even today when i think of her, a smile forges on my face like a new sword from steel. Huge waves of sadness and desperation follow that smile.  I could've saved her. I could have interceded the disaster that  occurred . But i didn't. I would give anything to see that smile of hers again. Oh! her beautiful smile. I miss her... I miss her warm hugs and her strong love. A world without her is not worth living in.  The thought of her not being here rips the veins out of my body.  I feel a rope around my neck waiting to kill me. Hope

‘Tongues tied. Dreams die. We all lose our way. We have fears. We shed tears and we carry our mistakes.” That is the reality of life. It isn’t easy. And it sure as hell isn’t as peachy as they show it in the movies. More often than not our wishes fail us. And then we regret. We regret not putting enough effort. Or we regret putting too much effort. You get the point. We all, at some point or the other in our lives, have hoped for someone. I did too. But more often than not, life does not turn up the way you want it to and you end up regretting something or the other. That is what hope does to us. Hope is a very risky thing. It can ruin you. Or it could turn your life around. The real question is, ‘Is that ‘someone’ important enough to risk everything?’ If yes, then go for it. If no, then just admit that, ‘You and I are just another story waiting to happen. But didn’t. Because for us, there was no hope for a paradise.’ ~A.F~
